Kind hearted racegoers and staff along with the Bringing Back A Smile charity joined together to raise funds for head chef at sedgefield racecourse Darryl Blenkinsop.Darryl who has been undergoing gruelling chemotherapy treatment for stomach cancer has had to leave his job and concentrate on his treatment and recovery.Gemma Wise from the charity thought it would be a great idea to run a 100 number raffle for a executive box donated by the racecourse at £10 per ticket which was filled in no time raising £1000.00 to help darryl and his family in his recovery.We would just like to thank those who purchased these numbers to help reach our goal and to give Darryl and his family the lift they needed.XXX
